You should send all NBDA entries to Kyle Smith at Broken Arrow. The email address is: email@example.com. Please make sure you use the link on the OkMEA website for your OkMEA entries.

As many of you know, last night we held our annual fall NBDA meeting at Pryor Junior High. Also, as you know, we needed to elect a new president. I am happy to say that I am once again at the helm of this wonderful organization and I look forward to what we can accomplish together for our students this year.
Please find attached to this email the minutes from last night’s meeting. As you can see, there was continued discussion about moving the junior high auditions to the same day as the high school auditions and we discussed ways that this could be done effectively. Nothing has changed for this year as the discussion was tabled until a time when we can have more of our membership present.
Also, Taylor Sitzman will be the contact person for JH All-District entries. He will send everyone an email address at a later date for those entries.
I realize that my distribution list is likely severely out-of-date; if you have had changes to your staff, please forward this email and encourage them to send me their email address so that I may update my contacts. As always, if there is anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Due to school cancellations, the deadline is extended to Friday, December 13. Complete the entry form linked below and submit to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Fall Meeting will be held Tuesday, August 27 at 7:30pm. This year’s meeting location will be on the campus of Broken Arrow High School (1901 E. Albany) in the Varsity Club building adjacent to the football stadium. Enter the southeast lot from County Line Road (S. 193rd Ave). Please see attached map for reference. The meeting will be held on the 2nd floor. We will start with a catered dinner (Charlie’s Chicken) at 6:30. Please plan to arrive by 6:30.
Once again, please forward this email to any new band directors within your district or others that may not have received this and send along any new contacts my way. I thank you for your help getting the word out to everyone.
See you tomorrow night!

I am certain that we have many new faces that will make up our NBDA membership. Please forward this letter to any new band directors within your district or others that may not have received this and send along any new contacts my way. I thank you for your help getting the word out to everyone.
Finally, the following is a video I came across earlier this summer. In our district, we are so blessed to be engaged with people who believe in music and music education. I hope you enjoy…
I look forward to seeing you all on the 27th!
All the best,
After looking at the 7th grade flute etudes, let’s make the following cut so that they don’t have to learn so much:
Pg. 68 – 1st four lines plus five measures (no repeats)
Pg. 72 – 1st six lines up to the repeat
Please let me know if you have further questions.
